Dreams and hopes
The very public taking and humiliation of their hero must have been devastating for the disciples. A torrent of emotions thundering through each of them; feelings of disenchantment and disloyalty, wild confusion and stomach churning fear. Their hopes have all come to a shattering and violent end. Is this then a 'descent into hell' and experiencing the depths and darkness of the sub-conscious?*
As I listen to Jesus's response what desire or challenge is stirred within me? Is there a prayer or action that emerges?
