installation IDEAS

Stemming from work done at specific sites of the Transition Gardens project here are general proposals for installations, which will be released periodically. Most often these are in church grounds. The ideas may be modified for different settings or the examples prompt a request for a specific conversation and site visit. Announced in the Church of Scotland’s Life and Work August 2019 article on Coracle and ‘Space for the journey’ this will also act as a sort of update on years of inquiry and looking to pair discoveries with physical objects in green spaces.

Large supportive arms

Proposition: Come, sit here and eat. Imagine the church building buttresses as large supportive arms curving behind a bench upon which you sit.

Onward reflections: A time to rest, Waiting

Reflective tree lined walk

Proposition: A reflective path in and through trees with engraved slates laid down all for the sake and exercise of being present to and seeing what is before and around you.

Onward reflections: The uncurling of the soul. The pilgrim walk. Loving attentiveness
