Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan.Genesis 11: 31
Time to move on perhaps?
A sense of a stirring, part of us that is in one place whilst other parts elsewhere. What is it that calls us? Something within rather than a demand outwith ourselves? What is it that catches us? What fly is cast that causes us to jump up and out, bodies open wide? Salmon leap, spawn and travel, an epic journey – how much more the journey of the soul, swimming from, in and towards its God.
Deep calls to deep
The Earth groans as do we, apparently*! There seems to be something deeper than our consciousness that compels us to change, even long for change, though we would often resist it, calling it excessive, edgy fervor or misreading the signs. Is there spiritual genetics at play here? Deep calls to deep, a hidden, dormant gene waiting to be expressed. *Romans 8:22
