It can help to find the words to tell the truth of where you are now.  If you can find the courage to name ‘here’ – especially in the place where you do not wish to be – it can help you be there.  Padraig O Tuama

Looking at a legacy of disgrace

The noose tightens further.  'To make the scriptures come true'... oh the weight of history and prophecy.  There are words to be said that close a door to any late change in script.  O Tuama writes that to be forgotten is one thing.  To be remembered with disgrace is another.  Jesus chooses to be there.  In the end the last nail is Jesus' own.

Lord of life give to my roots rain. (Stations of the resurrection, Raymond Chapman)
