I tell you for certain that the Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing, and he does exactly what he sees the Father do. The Father loves the Son and has shown him everything he does. The Father will show him even greater things, and you will be amazed. John 5:19-20

Abou Ben Adhem (may his tribe increase!)
Awoke one night from a deep dream of peace,
And saw, within the moonlight in his room,
Making it rich, and like a lily in bloom,
An angel writing in a book of gold:—
Exceeding peace had made Ben Adhem bold,
And to the Presence in the room he said
"What writest thou?"—The vision raised its head,
And with a look made of all sweet accord,
Answered "The names of those who love the Lord."
"And is mine one?" said Abou. "Nay, not so,"
Replied the angel. Abou spoke more low,
But cheerly still, and said "I pray thee, then,
Write me as one that loves his fellow men."
The angel wrote, and vanished. The next night
It came again with a great wakening light,
And showed the names whom love of God had blessed,
And lo! Ben Adhem's name led all the rest.

Then Jesus asked, ‘Which of these three people was a real neighbour to the man who was beaten up by robbers?’...‘Go and do the same!’ Luke 10:36, 37
Go and do the same*
So, we must do what we see the Father doing? Show compassion, love the lost, heal the sick, and befriend the outcast and stranger? There are many things!
As I listen to this remark* and the response within me what desire or challenge is stirred within me? Is there a prayer or action that emerges?
