Submission to deep longing, to truth

"When you raise up the Son of Man, then you will know who I am—that I'm not making this up, but speaking only what the Father taught me. The One who sent me stays with me. He doesn't abandon me. He sees how much joy I take in pleasing him."                             John 8:28-29

When he put it in these terms, many people decided to believe.

The terms spoken of here (John 8:28-29) are not of conditional belief but more of a door having swung open upon hearing the words that soften, convince or draw. We submit to what we have longed to hear and know deep within us as true. As I listen to this statement and the response within me what desire or challenge is stirred within me? Is there a prayer or action that emerges?
