Light
Light
The visible reminder of Invisible Light.
The Rock, T S Eliot

Each day in Advent readings are given by various contributors according to the prayer's themes of light, power, joy and laughter and finally of love. Reading by Ewan Mealyou, selected by Jane Edwards. Words by Jim Cotter

At the summer house in twilight, Isaac Levitan; Listen to a prayer read by Ewan Mealyou and selected by Jane Edwards

The darkness and the light are both alike to you.  Psalm 139:12

Being present to the Christ in our life, and in our homes, to the Christ who does not flee from darkness, our darkness, ah there's the rub.

Present and visible

Be present living Christ within us

Your dwelling place and home

That our homes may be places

Where our darkness is penetrated by your light

Where our troubles are calmed by your peace

Where our evil is redeemed by your love

Where our pain is transformed in your suffering

Where our is dying is glorified in your risen life.
